Escape from Tarkov is includes a robust health and damage system as part of the Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator.

Features[edit | edit source]

  • Health and physical characteristics, including hydration, energy, blood pressure, blood loss, fractures, contusion, intoxication, exhaustion, tremors and so on.
  • Painkillers and bandages to ease the pain and prevent blood loss.

Permanent status effects[edit | edit source]

These status effect persist while offline, until treated

Left arm[edit | edit source]

  • Fractured: Using items and searching containers is slower (67% of normal speed). Reloading and drawing weapons is 50% slower.
  • Destroyed: Same as above, but you have a 20% chance of death.

Right arm[edit | edit source]

  • Fractured: Using items and searching containers is 50% slower. Reloading, drawing, and aiming weapons takes 67% more time.
  • Destroyed: Same as above, but you have a 20% chance of death.

Legs[edit | edit source]

  • Each leg fractured reduces your speed by 45%.
  • Destroyed legs give you a 30% chance of death each.

Stomach[edit | edit source]

  • Destroyed: 60% chance of death.

Vital body part[edit | edit source]

  • Destroyed: Instant death. As it turns out, taking a high powered bullet to the noggin' isn't conducive to your good health.

Temporary status effects[edit | edit source]

Status Effect Duration
Bleeding -1 Health and -2 Energy every 5 seconds until treated or returning to lobby
Pain Vision darkens until the effect ends
Contusion Reduces senses by 33% and muffles audio 60 seconds
Disorientation Senses are disabled 10 seconds
Stun All sound is cut off, replaced by a tinnitus 10 seconds
Flash You are blinded 10 seconds
Dehydration Soaping filter applied
Hard dehydration Soaping filter and you lose 3 points of health every 2 seconds
Exhaustion All actions are 20% slower
Hard exhaustion All actions are 20% slower and you lose 1 point of health every 2 seconds
Intoxication and Radiation Exposure Not currently implemented
