Hideout is a location in Escape from Tarkov.

Description

The Hideout; initially found as an abandoned and cluttered bomb shelter without any means of sustaining life. The player can build and improve various Hideout modules, such as the power generator, water collection system, ventilation, medical treatment facility, intelligence center, heating, bathroom and other advanced modules.

Features

To improve the Hideout to operational condition, the first thing the player will need to install is the Power Generator, which consumes fuel. With a lack of fuel, production and regeneration of characteristics will be slowed or disrupted. It should also be noted that the size of the stash will directly depend on the level of Hideout stash. Players with a Limited Edition of the game will receive an upgraded stash size, up to level 4. In addition to the basic modules of the Hideout, the player will be able to install advanced modules that drastically improve living standards and security, accelerate skills leveling, and allow production of unique items and resources. What is worth noticing separately, is a full-fledged shooting range, where the player can test weapons. The Hideout will be an integral part of the game, which will justify all out-of-raid processes that happen to the character - restoring health, stash size, access to services of merchants, and objects research and events in the world of Escape from Tarkov.

    Notes

    • A list of all the possible crafts is available here: Crafts
    • Every item crafted in the hideout will have the "found in raid" status
    • Every 1 fuel resource powers the Hideout for 14 minutes 27 seconds (28 minutes 54 seconds with solar power module)
    • The generator must be active in order to begin crafting in the Hideout. After the crafting has begun you can turn off the power. This will increase the time required for the crafting to complete.
    • The lavatory does not require the generator to be on to start crafting, and it does NOT affect the on/off for crafting time.
    • Right mouse button in FPS view will turn on a flashlight
    • The generator needs to be running in order for the illumination levels 2 and 3 to work properly. Otherwise the chosen lighting source will dim and flicker.
    • Crafting items and upgrading hideout zones improves your Hideout management skill which in turn improves bonuses, slots, and decreases consumption rates.
    • Crafting items improves your Crafting skill which decreases crafting time

    Additional Information

    Bitcoin Farm

    The Bitcoin Farm will produce Bitcoin, at a rate of 0.05 + (GC - 1) / 49 * 0.15 items/hour, where GC is the number of installed Graphics card. Production stops if there are no installed graphics cards, the power is off, or there are 3 bitcoin awaiting collection.

    The hour/bitcoin rate of any given GC Number can be calculated with (0.05 + (GC - 1) / 49 * 0.15)^-1 following this the reduction of crafting time in hours per GC can be calculated as following 2940/((3*GC+44.5)^2-2.25)

    Given the assumption of around 200,000 roubles/Bitcoin the roubles per hour can be calculated (see the table below). If you assume a GC price of 260,000 roubles the payback time can be calculated as well (The upgrade costs for the Bitcoin farm are disregarded).

    Right below is a chart and a table showing the relation between the number of graphics cards and the time needed (in hours) to produce a single bitcoin.

    (To be noted: Pay-Back-Time in below table is not assuming the cost of fuel for running the Bitcoin Farm. The cost of fuel for running only the Bitcoin farm and no other station, can be calculated as cost per hour of Metal Fuel Tanks or the Expeditionary Fuel Tanks. As the price on Flea Market for full Metal Fuel Tank is about 90,000 RUB and is used in 24 hours 6 minutes, cost per hour would be 3700 RUB.For Expeditionary Fuel Tank price on Flea Market is around 55,000 RUB being used in 14 hours 27 minutes with cost per hour of 3800 RUB. This means that this cost needs to be deducted from Roubles/hour assuming non-stop production and having no more then 3 bitcoins uncollected increasing Pay-Back-Time with 4,5 days decreasing to 3 days depending on the number of GC added. If you use other stations except Lavatory which doesn't use fuel, you divide the fuel cost by total number of stations and if you also use the Expeditionary Fuel Tank to craft Magazine Case at Lavatory 2 Pay-Back-Time increases with only 0,5 days as you can use empty jars for that craft.)
