Only business is a Quest in Escape from Tarkov.
||Good adventurous day out! Intense skin, brother, who are you hailing from, nikes? Or military? Well, whatever, I don't care. Don't think I'm against PMCs or even mercenaries, it's just the situation we have on our hands, in our city, is total shit. So I get it, you want to do business with me? Well, first I have to figure out who you are, get used to you around, you know? Let's start with some trading and see how it goes from there, before we talk business.
- Must be level 15 to start this quest.
- Obtain level 2 loyalty with Ragman
||Welcome to the crew, homie.
Buy and sell items at Ragman. Doing these two actions will build you towards his 1,000,000 rouble requirement to reach loyalty level 2. There are a few methods to reach this goal quickly. The quickest, but one of the most expensive, is to buy a large amount of one type of item from him, such as a Kolpak-1S riot helmet, and immediately sell them back to him. Repeat this until you're reached the required amount. Doing this will quickly deplete your cash though as you only make about half your money back when buying and selling an item. To obtain 1,000,000 worth of loyalty, you would lose about 500,000 roubles with this method.
Another less expensive method is to purchase an item that's frequently bought from Ragman, such as a Scav Vest and re-sell this item on the Flea Market for only a few roubles less than the trader value. This way, any player that uses the flea market to purchase items and sorts from lowest to highest price will purchase yours over the trader as you'll have the best deal around. Using this method you will retain much more money. The down-side is you are likely only to have three total offers (not singular items, offers!) at a time as this is an early quest. This means that even if you fill up your stash with items bought from Ragman and sell them on the market, you will have to wait for those items to sell before being able to list more. Using this method in conjunction with the first method is a good middle-ground for retaining money yet still completing the quest quickly.
Some of the items sold by Ragman are also bought by Skier at a higher price. Buying from Ragman and selling to Skier will help you retain more money than simply buying and selling to Ragman, but more items will need to be bought from Ragman to complete the quest as both bought and sold items count towards Loyalty Level 2.
